WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…
Adorably illustrated and to the point but still dispensing outstanding advice for beating nightmares, this book is a great example of what child literature at its best can do – providing both practical information and entertainment in a compact format. Highly recommended, any parent with a child that has nightmares can put this to use almost immediately. Thomas, Atlanta, GA
I have an eight year old child who was molested when she was three and she had nightmares so bad that she had to cover her head with the sheet so that the wolf would not get her. She would come and get me at least three nights a week. This went on from the time she was three until Kerri read her the book during our first session and it has been over a week since she has had a nightmare. That is HUGE to us. Thank you Kerri. As a therapist and mother, I am genuinely impressed with this book and what it has to offer. The story is excellent and the illustrations are superb. A fun way to teach your kids how to overcome nightmares or just a fun book to read. Bravo to the Oransky team: Highly recommended.- Cheri, therapist, Decatur, GA
As a mother of three and School Counselor, I am thrilled to see this book on the market! For years I have looked for a simple kid-friendly resource for helping kids battle the monsters under their bed. Ms. Oransky keeps the wording simple with catchy rhymes. And the illustrations are marvelous. I will use this book with my students as well as my own children.-Heather, School Counselor, Rockville, MD
How Zac Got His Z’s is both entertaining and insightful. It goes to the heart of fears for children by helping them to identify the fear first. So often children can’t talk about their fears or nightmares. The book encourages use of their imagination by drawing their own weapon to overcome their fears. I highly recommend it and encourage the Oransky team to continue writing, illustrating and helping children and their caregivers accomplish an important and necessary task, to sleep! -Ilene, Therapist at Marcus Autism Center
